NEW GROWTH | STRATUM MODEL
Sculptor Kendall Buster - New Growth: Stratum Model reflects a merging of the natural and the built environment. Designed to operate at once as landscape and architecture, the schematic of stacked planes seen from a bird’s eye view toggles between topography map and building in plan.

Transformation House Michael Jantzen
“The Transformation House is a design study for an interactive, responsive, self-contained structure that can change its shape to accommodate different functions. The five center sections can be rotated manually or automatically around the living space in order to catch the sun to warm the house, catch the wind to cool the house, catch the rain to supply it with water, catch different views, and or to alter the shape of the entire house, just for the fun of it.”
Since I am interested in architecture and green living, this home is right up my alley.

It is so interesting to see these deadly viruses and how ironically beautiful they are. Beautiful but deadly.
DIY Homemade Vanilla Extract Recipe, Tutorial and Labels from Shrimp Salad Circus here. *This takes about two months to steep and makes a wonderful hostess gift. I posted another vanilla extract recipe with really good label ideas here. In the comments someone made some really good points:
I did a lot of research and found a ton of useful information on VanillaReview.com. You really need to use 6 beans per 8 oz of vodka to make single fold vanilla (anything less and you are making vanilla flavored vodka). I personally use 8 beans per 8 oz of vodka. Also Grade B vanilla beans are best for making extract. Using Grade A beans, you are putting more water into your extract. Grade B beans have less moisture and you need fewer Grade B beans than Grade A beans to make extract. I get my beans from Vanilla Products USA (Madagascar Grade B Extract beans).
Also you should use the amber colored bottles to help keep light away from the vanilla bean which causes it to deteriorate. Even with the amber colored bottles, the vanilla should be stored in the dark.
DIY Plaster of Paris Votive Holders Tutorial from Design Mom here. I wasn’t going to put this on my Christmas/Holiday Blog until superslyskillzmcfly said:
People could decorate the hell out of these to make them their style. I love this so much the way they are though.
How would you decorate these? Shells? Coloring the Plaster of Paris? Embedding Dollar Store flat backed Marbles?
